Arnold has been an investment banker since 1998 and merged the business he founded in 2016 with Carlsquare in 2018. His focus is mainly on the wider consumer sector where he advised entrepreneurs, strategic, as well as financial investors on sell- and buy-side mandates. Before Carlsquare, he spent several years each with Goldman Sachs, UBS, Boston Consulting and the World Bank’s IFC. He holds an MBA from The Wharton School, an MA from The Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. from Goethe University Frankfurt.
David M. Foulkes joined Brunswick Corporation in 2007. In 2019, Mr. Foulkes was appointed Chief Executive Officer and in March 2025 he was appointed Chairman of the Brunswick Board of Directors.
Prior to his Chief Executive Officer role, Mr. Foulkes served as President – Brunswick Marine Consumer Solutions, as well as Brunswick’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Mr. Foulkes held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility at Brunswick’s Mercury Marine division since the start of his employment in 2007, including Vice President of Product Development and Engineering and President of Mercury Racing.
Before beginning his Brunswick career, Mr. Foulkes spent 18 years with Ford Motor Company in a series of senior roles. He also worked with Shell Exploration and the Ministry of Defense, both in the United Kingdom. Mr. Foulkes has a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics and a master’s degree in structural and fluid mechanics from Imperial College in London.
Mr. Foulkes serves as a Trustee for Shedd Aquarium and is a Director of Vontier Corporation.
Leads McKinsey & Company’s Global Marine, Recreational Vehicle and Powersports sector and has supported dozens of companies across the industrial value chain. His efforts primarily focus on helping clients drive sustained growth, operating efficiencies, product excellence and commercial productivity, from strategy through long-term capability building. Over the past decade, Michael has led many high-impact transformations leading to significant value creation (>$3B) and enhanced capabilities (>20,000 people upskilled) across a range of iconic companies, mid-caps and entrepreneurial ventures.
Filippo is a Partner in the Mediterranean Office where he leads the McKinsey Blue Economy initiative, spanning from shipbuilding to shipping and other marine-related activities.

Vienna-based partner Michael Strohmer has more than 19 years of experience as a consulting expert for end-to-end operations and procurement transformations, raw material strategies, post-merger management, and billion-dollar capex projects. His work covers the automotive, energy, defense, consumer products, packaging, and steel sectors.
In addition to publishing The Procurement Chessboard, Michael has authored many other books, including Agility in Procurement, The CPO: Transforming Procurement in the Real World, and SRM: Supplier Relationship Management. He is a speaker at international conferences about the procurement chessboard, raw material strategies, and procurement transformations, and general business issues.
Michael is responsible for major operational and procurement transformation programs in Europe, the United States, and Asia. His clients include major global players from the automotive and sporting goods sectors as well as DAX conglomerates, but he also supports mid-sized businesses with the same passion. In recent years, Michael has shifted his focus to private equity.
