Safe Harbor acquires 80th US property
Safe Harbor Marinas in the US has purchased New England Boatworks (NEB) in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, bringing to 80 the number of properties the Dallas, Texas-based company owns in 18 states and making it, the company claims, the “largest and most geographically-diversified owner and operator of marinas in North America.”

Aktor Concessions wins Greek marina bid
Greek company Aktor Concessions SA has been selected as the preferred bidder via e-auction for the right to manage and exploit Alimos Marina in Athens for a 40-year period, Greece’s assets fund (HRADF) announced at the end of April as part of its ongoing marina privatisation programme.

Second Dutch SY builder to set up shop in Amsterdam
Royal Huisman of the Netherlands has agreed to open a yard in the Port of Amsterdam, making it the second Dutch superyacht builder, after Feadship, to do so as part of a drive to make Amsterdam a superyacht destination to lure maintenance and refit business away from, notably, Mediterranean yards.
